Well, it is actually quite simple. There's a group of people who took it upon themselves to keep alive the memories of “Tanzcafe Rallye 2000”

End of January 2013 (after all, that's more than 20 years after the Rallye finally had to close it's doors) our Ines brought to life a facebook group called “Tanzcafe Rallye 2000 – Who still knows it?”.  After only two weeks there was a whopping 600 members in that group, reason enough to follow on with an “internet presence”.
This site is not meant to be competition to that group but rather a support. There's a lot one can do on a home page, which fb does not support.

There is, or better, there was such a site already once but that was linked to a different commercial Project. Once that project failed to be successful, the so called Rallye 2000 site was abandoned too.

From here on, this site is dedicated to the memories of a very special time, which certainly has put it's stamp on all of us. It shall be a reminder of all the fun, the friendship and the many “good times” that we shared. Everybody is invited to participate. There are plenty tools to speak your mind, please use them. If you still got photos or any other mementoes of that time, please share them with us.

But  should you, for some reason, not like this, no need to get all prissy about it. There's a little box with an “x” top right. Just click on it and forget about us.

Some years back already, we were accused by some, that our aim was to “glorify” and “iconize” certain people. The answer to that is as simple as it is short: “Nonsense!”

I believe I speak for everybody involved in this endeavour when I say: “We all knew then and still know today our own as much as the weaknesses of our friends, acquaintances and those we worked with. But we too knew how to embrace them in friendship despite their shortcomings.

This might sound a bit “deep” to some of you but it had to be said!!
